Good morning everyone well we have just about got our breath back, still some minor bits to clean up, big numbers through this year, on money count 2200 but when you have an ice-cream container of fifty cents pieces????? And over $200 of ten an twenty cent piece it is somewhat disappointing in the blantent dishonesty of people. The ones that drive around in those big white 150g plus MH. Are the worst, as we have an honesty box....
But as our policy we do not put our hand out to receive the money we only greet you as you come in gate and give you free pkt of seeds. May k**a bite you on bum...
On a lot more cheerful note I would like to thank my tireless helpers over the ten days.
Leonie & Ada from Taranaki Bird rescue, on front desk, my greeters and cuppa organisers Ngaire Wallace , my son Leon who gives up his holidays to help, Aidan Theaker , grandson from Perth came over to help the old girl as I'm known as by him, between his shifts of work,
Our fantastic neighbours Dayna Hurley she brought us so much lovely food to keep up energy levels, was just so thoughtful for a young mum who is so busy herself, To brother in-law Jack who makes the most amazing date scones to die for, also Lois Smith neighbour with chocolate slice an brownies boys thought they were in second heaven, Raewyn Rooney for some healthy food she makes the most Devine club Sammie's that melt in your mouth, not your waistline, To other neighbours who let us park our cars on there property while show is on which is a god send.
Lastly my two suppliers of the Maples an fruit trees ect Bryan 20yrs supplying us wonderful friendship we have formed on honesty and good product, also Jeremy for last 5 years with his rear an unusual maples ,top marks both suppliers
So numbers were 2200 even though 3 days people could get into our place or park 1/2 mile away because of schools sports function, I'm sorry for those that couldn't find a park
Alf & I just want to say a big thankyou to all that have supported us over 20yrs and helped in someway.
Also from Taranaki Ostomy support group we have broken boundaries by been seen to not hide our bags so to speak.and making people aware there are support groups to help. We are the only support group that does this in New Zealand to be seen not hiding out ostomys let's face it we are above ground not below..
Thanks please watch this space for what's happening next yr the planning has started.......no I'm not running for Mayor as I jokely told some people let's face it I have no filter on my mouth
Cheers Bernadette Carrolle Christian
