Dahlia dramas!

Last year (24/25) dahlia season was one where I discarded a lot of dahlias very early on due to suspicion of virus! Many were kept that I believed were fine. I tested a few as I discarded them and my suspicions were confirmed! I tested some of what was left and the results were negative Eg no virus.

To save myself any grief for this season I decided to sell off all that I believed were safe and replace all of my dahlias from one grower. A grower that I believed has sufficient knowledge, experience and evidence that their dahlias were the safest I could get.

I must say the exercise has been well worth it.
I have just virus tested 30 of my dahlias. All came back Negative! Yay!! The exercise/sacrifice/expense has been totally worth it! I have a patch of gorgeous healthy dahlias that I am proud to put on the market this year!

It has been a rough couple of weeks!
The storm that came through put many longstanding trees down on the ground.
Luckily only a couple of flowering plants in my garden and flower patch got majorly damaged. Any flowers that were open were destroyed but onwards and upwards they are all happy again with no losses!
Lots of trim ups and the plants are again flourishing and producing in abundance.
Beautiful bunches are still available at the Hunterville Village Gifts.
I’ve added a bit of extra beauty including Snap Dragons and Lisianthus!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I have managed to secure some gorgeous Red Roses!!

Time to spoil your loved ones. Due to the heat I hope to deliver to Hunterville Village Gifts by 2pm tomorrow they will also be available 10am-2pm on Saturday.
