Project Flashback: Grain & Grape Fitout | Darfield, Canterbury ✨

Flashback to the transformation of this much-loved building into Grain & Grape
A vibrant, welcoming space that’s become a local favourite for great food, drinks, and connection.

We were proud to be asked back for the next chapter of this building’s story. Robin was the original designer many years ago, and after a fire gutted the interior, the new owners returned to us for a full commercial fitout.

Over a three-year period, RW Design worked closely with the Rangiora RSA Building Committee.
From initial design through to completion ensuring the project stayed on track with regular site visits.
This wasn’t just a building upgrade; it was about preserving heritage and revitalising a vital community hub for returned servicemen, women, and all of Rangiora.
Creating a safer, more accessible space that honours the past while meeting today’s needs.

Our refurbishment of the Rangiora RSA was awarded with a Silver Medal at the 2019 NZ Commercial Project Awards!
