Job for the last 3 days in Katikati has been mulching up some pine slash piles, and now its ready for grass.
The larger logs I've put to the side for firewood, and mulched everything else with my Seppi BMS-F Forestry mulcher, very effective piece of equipment on gorse, Avocado trees (top to ground level), scrub, overgrown shelter belts that trimmers won't touch and need to be bought back under control for hedge trimmer, bamboo, blackberry, basically anything overgrown this will clean it up to ground level.

Yesterday's job was driving some poles in for a retaining wall, I always class a driven pole wall as the wall of last resort.
This one didnt turn out to badly to be fair.
And not a lot of room between the bank and existing building, I'll never buy a conventional machine ever again given the versatility of the CAT compact radius machines.

First job for the new year, pulling out old retaining walls and striping vegetation and topsoil and stockpiling onsite, cutting out for a new wall, 3.5 meters high, involved drilling 750mm diameter holes 5 meters deep and pitching 425-450mm SED x 9 meter poles, once the wall is built, then backfilling and compacting ash for a new swimming pool to go in.

The client was impressed with how easy the palisade wall's went, that he then asked if I'd be interested in doing a partial demolition of the existing house, which I gladly said yes to, but I've done it the old school way, rock & wide bucket & ripper pick.

Another piling job at Athenree I'm sub contracting on replacing a small jetty, I'm driving 8, 9, 10 meter long poles in on the harbours edge and also walking out on baulks and having to install and set three poles out in the estuary.

I have my Digga PD 15 drill unit, Pneuvibe 201 and Kinghitter F2 custom 700kg hammer (1 of only 3 ever made by Kinghitter) all on-site, as well as my CAT 315 Next Gen machine.

The neighbour invited me to go fishing earlier in the week, to help get the one that got away today, as I was busy working in the week.

Well it involved walking my machine a good 1 ½km from home to out the back of his farm, cutting in a track, and then hooking chains on to his tractor and getting it back onto its wheels, my crew helping was Keegan (son) and for moral support Sarah his gf, with the opening and closing of gates on the trek over and back, as well as transporting chains for lifting and carrying the tractor with the machine across the farm and back up to the yard.

This is a good reminder to farmers to get their tractors, bikes, Ute's, equipment serviced regularly and properly rather than the she'll be right scenario, in this case the park brake failed and the tractor ran away, luckily no one was hurt in the accident or recovery, apart from the neighbours pride.
