In smaller kitchens, where cabinet space is crucial, using a 300mm or 350mm wide cabinet for a seperate pull out bin cabinet is not always an option.

For this kitchen I used the Tanova compact bins from Fit NZ that sit discreetly under the sink cabinet.

Small, but perfectly useful if you live in an apartment or granny flat/studio, or if space is tight.

SAME COLOUR - TWO MATERIALS

Having the same colour available across Melteca and Laminex Formica Laminate makes it easier to create a consistent look, when different surfaces require different products.

Melteca is a low pressure laminate (LPL) that is also referred to as melamine board. It’s used for cabinetry, joinery, and wall lining.

Laminex Formica Laminate is a high-pressure laminate (HPL) more suited to harder-wearing applications and anywhere post-forming or curving is required, such as benchtops, splashbacks, rangehoods, curved door faces, and commercial fit-outs.

There are over 28 colour matches* across both range. Each product has its strengths, but when they share a colour, it opens up more design possibilities.

🤯What’s the one thing in your kitchen that drives you nuts?

Now that I’ve moved to a smaller house, I no longer have the luxury of working in my purpose designed dream kitchen 😯

In my new kitchen I have a corner pantry (I dislike these full stop!)

But this one opens the wrong way! - when the door is open the inside of the pantry is obscured by the door, making it annoying to walk around the door to get into the pantry when I’m cooking.

The open door also blocks the light from the cooktop casting shadows.
