Subject: COVID-19 Update for Customers from Seaview Engineering Services
At Seaview Engineering Services Ltd we strive to meet the needs of all our customers but in this time of uncertainty, we are more committed than ever, to supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of all our customers and staff.
We wanted to let you know about the steps we're taking to keep you, and our staff, safe and well during New Zealand's response to COVID-19.
Currently, it's business as usual at Seaview Engineering Services Ltd, 40 Seaview Road, Seaview. You can still come and see us for all your tanker design, DG inspections, tankwagon servicing and Heavy Vehicle Transport Engineering & certification.
However, we do have a few health & safety changes.
What are we doing to help?
We understand the importance of good cleaning and hygiene and have updated our practices and sanitising plan. In alignment with Ministry of Health recommendations, we will be regularly cleaning high contact surfaces including the front reception counter, door handles, computers, furniture and anything else that may be touched frequently. We also have hand sanitiser and wipes at reception for customers.
Out in the workshops our engineers will be wiping down steering wheels, gear shifts and door handles prior to beginning work, and wearing disposable gloves when they need to. Our staff will also be regularly washing their hands with soap and water (for at least 20 seconds).
When you visit Seaview Engineering Services Ltd, you can also expect to see:
Social distancing practices. Team members and customers are encouraged to use social distancing practices. We are trying to keep a recommended distance of 1m between people to reduce the potential of spittle reaching one another.
Responsible coughing etiquette. We know that we all have moments where we cough for no apparent reason. If that happens to a team member, you'll see them use their elbow as per Ministry of Health recommendations on good coughing etiquette. We've also instructed staff that if they feel unwell then they should stay away from work.
We need your support to keep our workplace safe. We ask that customers do not visit us if:
• You have returned from overseas in the last 14 days
• Been in contact with someone with a suspected or confirmed case of the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
• You have flu symptoms or feel unwell
By following all these procedures we hope to keep our workplace as safe as possible.
We are committed to keeping customers up to date with any changes that we need to make during this time and will post updates on our website.
We encourage you to take care of yourselves and your family and check in on those around you. If you have any questions or need our support, please contact me directly.
Regards,
Ken Russell
