Job Vacancy Fencer/Labourer/Landscaper: LJT Fencing and Landscaping

We are a small fencing/landscaping company based in the Rodney area. We specialise in fencing including timber and panel fencing. We also specialise in high end landscaping which includes pergolas, decking, gazebos and specifically designed garden features. Although we are based in Rodney our jobs sometimes require travel further afield so someone who is willing to work away at times would be ideal but not necessarily essential.

We require a Fencer/Labourer to assist our small team and offer expertise and skill that will further the growth of our small business. The ideal applicant will have good knowledge of the industry and great interpersonal skills. We work on both commercial and residential sites and require someone who can communicate well, complies with health and safety requirements, has a good work ethic and has knowledge of this type of work or is willing to learn.

This position is a full-time position.

Key skills required:

Have experience in the building industry ideally or be willing to learn

Willing to comply with health and safety regulations including following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work/site environment

Ability to operate tools, machines and equipment of the trade

Ability to use initiative, able to demonstrate workmanship and able to finish work to a high standard

Ideally have knowledge of plant operations i.e. Forklift, Digger and Earth Moving equipment but not essential

Either have current or be willing to gain a Site Safe Passport and First Aid Certificate

Work well within a team environment

Have great interpersonal and communication skills

Able to work away from home at times by negotiation

Must have your own transport

Full drivers licence
