As you may have seen on Murray’s page yesterday, Murray has retired from town life & from now on will be enjoying a superior life under Dean & Kristen’s care. What a journey for a cat who started out as our mouse catcher for the workshop! Here’s a message from Murray….

Hello to my adoring fans. I am sorry if you've been missing me. I have decided to retire from my life of fame on the streets of Matamata, because up here in the country side, they let me sleep on the couch, feed me fairly well (not as generous as the folk in town 😁) and come and go as i please. There is another cat here, who personally I think needs to leave and find a new home. Because this is definitely my castle now! I was a bit scared of the wolf dog that lives here at first, but it didn't take me long to realise she just wants to sniff me and come along with me on adventures. It has however taken me some time to get used to the big hairy beasts that share my land and make a "Moo" noise. I didnt meet any of those in all my years in town!
I would like to say a HUGE and heartfelt thankyou to everybody in Matamata who watched over me and made sure I was safe and fed. I will miss making my special visits to all my favourite spots around town. But I will be sure to keep you updated on my new life in the country. But for now, I have precious sleep to catch up on. ❤🐈😴🐄🐃🐕❤
