Meet Zach

Zach, 34, has been part of the team at Plumbco for nearly four years and brings with him 15 years of experience as a qualified drainlayer.

Originally completing his apprenticeship with a company in Tauranga, Zach later met Kayla and the two made the move to Matamata in 2018. They’ve now been married for over five years.

Life is busy for Zach and Kayla with their fur family — two cats, Jinx and Ming, and two dogs, Mando and Bean.

Working in a semi-rural town like Matamata means no two days are the same, and Zach enjoys the variety of work along with meeting and helping all different types of people in the community.

Meet Alex Bradley
Owner of Plumb.co and a well known face in the community, Alex’s journey started when he began his plumbing apprenticeship with Gordon Burr at just 18 years old. In 2004, with a change of ownership, Alex continued his apprenticeship with Plumb.co under Derek and Jason as the business began a new chapter.
Through years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to the trade, Alex took a huge step forward in 2011 by purchasing Jason’s share of the business, before proudly becoming full owner in November 2025 after buying Derek’s share due to deciding to retire. A true example of loyalty, perseverance, and believing in the long game
Outside of work, Alex is a proud family man married to Nicole for 23 years, with 4 children and now 2 grandchildren who keep life busy and full of love.
Alex is passionate about building strong relationships, supporting the local community, and leading a team that values quality workmanship and genuine customer service.

Qualified Plumber / Gasfitter – Waikato

Plumb.co has been proudly servicing the Waikato for over 20 years, building a strong reputation for quality workmanship across plumbing, gas fitting, drain laying, and roofing.

We are based in Matamata, centrally located to Hamilton, Tauranga, Auckland, and Rotorua, and we are looking for a NZ-trained Plumber / Gasfitter to join our growing team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with an established and reputable company that values customer service, safety, and high-quality workmanship.

You will be working across residential and commercial jobs, either as part of a team or independently. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who takes pride in providing reliable plumbing and gas fitting solutions to our local and wider community.

Strong communication skills are essential, as understanding and meeting our clients’ needs is a key part of the role.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum 4 years’ experience in plumbing and/or gas fitting

Current NZ registration in plumbing and gas fitting

Full, current NZ driver’s licence

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction
