We’re pleased to add this versatile New Zealand native to the growing Greenspace Plants range.

Muehlenbeckia axillaris is a fantastic low-maintenance ground cover, forming a dense carpet of fine foliage that’s perfect for:
✔ Filling bare spaces
✔ Suppressing weeds
✔ Softening hard landscape edges
✔ Planting beneath trees and larger specimen plants

The photo shows it creating a lush, lawn-like ground cover beneath a Pitt Island Nikau — a practical and attractive solution for areas where traditional lawn can struggle.

We’re growing these on now and they’ll be ready for Spring planting.

A selection chosen with Kirstin, co-owner of Greenspace Plants and beekeeper, who knows exactly what the bees are actively working in the garden across the seasons.
