A couple of classics from a North Island legend. Storm Hema ran the W Model Kenworth for a start and then replaced it a 500hp V8 Mack Superliner. These are up for grabs but will not come with the logs. Now SOLD. Thanks.

At 4m long, this C501 Kenworth from the quite remarkable MGM Group fleet over in Australia, has taken the crown for the longest thing I’ve ever recreated. These monsters cart iron ore among other commodities. 112 wheels put a whole in my limited wheel supply and I had to buy a second table and it still didn’t fit properly.

Still one of my favourite subjects is the G88 Volvo. Kevin Freeman had these 2 built which were a couple of favourites from childhood. A TransWest Freighters unit and a Craddocks Transport example as well. I originally built the Craddocks one with a 2 axle semi after some misinterpretation from photos but rectified it as it it should have been.

A hat trick of general builds this month. The South Island’s turn this time. The focus this time is on classic livestock trucks from the Maniototo area of Otago. Technically the Cook Transport Kenworth is not in the Maniototo area but close enough.
We have the Cook Transport Detroit Diesel V8 powered Kenworth from Hyde, a 903 V8 Cummins powered 3070 International from the now gone McLaren Transport fleet in Ranfurly and a 140 V8 Scania from the Beckers Transport fleet in Oturehua. Their first one. All classic 8 wheelers with cab over pens that no doubt met regularly at livestock sales and processing plants throughout the south after crawling down State Highway 87 and the Pig Root, State Highway 85. All sold. Thanks.

A cool 143m Scania. New templates were created for this shape as their were 2 of this shape to build. The other being a 142. The real thing has been totally rebuilt by the owner and looks and sounds the part.
