Looks like another severe thunderstorm approaching!
Is your home at risk of flooding? or was it affected back in October last year?
If this is something that is still keeping you up at night, please reach out to Clint Gaby, Director and Designer at Perspective Architecture and he can look at the best solution for your home to keep it high and dry.
Take a look at our project in Baker Street, South Dunedin to see what is possible.
Ok, wow! 😵💫 You might have just heard that thunder rolling overhead! 💥 A severe thunderstorm watch was issued this morning – but it seems to have arrived early! 🌩️
What you need to know:
⚡️ We expect thunderstorms, hail, and rain downpours in North Otago, Dunedin and Clutha areas.
⚡️ There is a risk of heavy rain of 10 to 25mm/h.
⚡️ There is a risk of large hail greater than 20mm in diameter, or large accumulations of hail.
⚡️ This could damage crops, orchards, glasshouses and vehicles, and make driving conditions dangerous.
As storms approach you should:
⛈️ Take shelter - preferably indoors away from windows, and avoid sheltering under trees
⛈️ Return to land if out on the water
⛈️ Move vehicles and pets under cover or away from trees
⛈️ Secure any loose objects around your property
⛈️ Check drains and gutters are clear
⛈️ Be careful when driving and be ready to slow down or stop
