Hours of work, packed into seconds.
The team have been busy recently on a variety of jobs around Central Otago. Our rural team has been all systems go getting fences up around the district - often with some pretty nice views - albeit a bit cold in the mornings at that altitude!

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve received SiteWise Gold (100%) for 2025/2026 🌟

SiteWise is a national prequalification assessment that grades a contractor’s health and safety capability.

This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening our systems and keeping our team and clients safe.

Big ups to the team for this one 👏

Choosing between timber and steel?

- Timber gives a natural look, but needs upkeep
- Steel is tough and low-maintenance

These 2 fences are from the same property: different requirements, different solutions.
If you could re-fence, what materials would you use?
Not sure? Get in touch with us and we would be more than happy to help you decide on what type of fence is best suited for your property.

We recently were hosts for the FCANZ - Fencing Contractors New Zealand Best Practice day in Cromwell, with Tinwald Farm providing our picturesque site location for the day.
We tested a range of different techniques to show how ground quality can affect the strength of certain setups, and this was particularly clear when strength testing stays using the tractor, and the results that followed.
Another big topic covered was pest-control, and the techniques used to help this. Central Otago fencers are no strangers to rabbit netting, and it was great to have a strong discussion around the different methods used to tackle this issue.
Thanks to our team for getting everything prepared throughout the day, you helped make things run smoothly and provided some great setups to test out and educate on.
It was reassuring to see over 50 people supporting this day, providing great opportunity to catch up with old faces and meet some new ones, further strengthening our industry.
It's always great to able to see products in action before choosing to purchase them, so thank you to the FCANZ industry partners Waratah Fencing NZ , Strainrite Fencing Systems , Point Lumber , Beattie Insulators, Gallagher, Bayonet , Summit Steel & Wire , STIHL Shop Cromwell, Delfast, Milwaukee and Kyne Equipment for making the trip.
A great spread of food was cooked by the team at Farmlands Cromwell which fuelled us all over the day, and a massive thank you goes to for getting behind us and providing this food.
We are more than happy to answer any questions from this day if you attended, or if you are thinking of attending in the future.
Thank you to everyone that attended - we look forward to seeing you at the next one!

Good fences are an investment, and should be treated as such. The environment plays a massive part in the life of a fence, and like your vehicle, a lack of maintenance will see it break down quicker.

Here are some easy-care tips for your Central Otago fence, to not only keep it looking great but also keep it strong.

A little care = a fence that lasts a lot longer.
