Great to be part of a rear extension to this old Villa. One of my first projects to be involved with, it spent a long time in design, but was worth the wait. Modern Indoor / outdoor flow with respect to the exterior character of the building. A huge improvement on the back elevation.

Great to see one of our new builds nearly complete with just some landscaping to finish. Its neat to look back at the CAD model of the building that was developed in the early design stage and compare it to the finished result. Some awesome work by local Hawkes Bay consultants & tradesman.

Being able to model the building takes away the uncertainty of the structural elements and also gives the client a great understanding and awareness of the aesthetics of the building. We look forward to the construction stage for some of these proposed buildings

Looking forward to the construction of this build in the new year. Lots of detailed design work involved with the steel suppliers, Internal Courtyard will provide great shelter from the sea winds and the layout of the glazing units will provide uninterrupted views out to the ocean.

It’s nice to see the end result once the building owners have moved in. Very lucky to take a few photos even if it is a little misty on the hills in Hawkes Bay.

This project originally began with the idea of an extension. However after doing some early costings, the extension would become cost prohibitive.

Instead, in order to better utilize the northern aspects of the site, create indoor / outdoor flow from the existing living areas, provide a better connection to the rear building - the better option was to simply lift the existing Lockwood home up, rotate it, and site it so all these conditions could be achieved. Not to mention the added benefits of a new deck, small relaxing covered area and a plunge pool to cool off in!
