Random planter box. A s**t ton of timber to form the slopes of the membrane deck on the hill, and about to start fixing Kwila to a wee deck out at bayview.

We've been waiting on structural steel for about a month which has really slowed thing down on the big job on the hill. Should be full steam there within a couple weeks though.

With a slow start to the year, I'm back into a big job. A busted ankle, toe surgery, and some quiet weeks it's been a challenging first half of the year.
Even after now 20yrs of building, I still get shocked by what we have to do nowadays. Take note of last few photos, showing the amount of steel work we have to put in the ground, one main hole, it will take 2 full truckloads of concrete, the size and amount of steel, not to mention the countless hours getting this all set up. It's insane....
It's no wonder the cost of building today is too much for most. 😞

Something a little different, deck that basically sits on the ground, and can be unbolted into 2 movable sections, and a carport bolted to small concrete lugs in the ground, then it was too short so we extended the legs, and tidied it up with some more kwila. Also went right out the box, and took a front leg off, after a touch of reinforcement of course, all so the client could back his giant Ram into it. 😅
Was fun though.
