SUSPENDED CEILING INSTALLER – SITUATIONS VACANT

We seek an experienced, skilled installer to join our team at East Coast Suspended Ceilings. Our family-owned business has proudly served Hawke's Bay for 24 years, prioritising a healthy work-life balance for employees to enjoy with family and friends.

Our preference is to employ someone experienced and/or qualified who can work independently, outputting high-quality installations.

The position includes:
• Installing 2-way exposed grid suspended ceilings & seismic bracing
• Installing acoustics and feature ceilings
• Installing metal batten systems and bulkheads
• Installing insulation and acoustics into our ceilings
• Installing Gib board
• Installing steel stud and aluminium partitioning
• Other construction and related work as needed

Ideally, the person will possess the following attributes:
• Physically fit and strong
• A driver's license (minimum restricted)
• Good communication and numerical skills
• A great can-do attitude
• Able to read plans and instructions to complete jobs independently
• Skills, qualifications and experience to install above systems on customer job sites mainly around Hawkes Bay
• Able to carry out occasional out-of-town, evening, or weekend work

This is your opportunity to work in a friendly, stable, energetic environment with plenty of variation of work. Competitive remuneration is offered (starting $27-$33/hr plus time and a half over 44 hours. 30-50 hours per week), and the company has an annual Christmas shutdown.

For us, it is important that we have the right person looking for a long-term role as a critical member of our small but highly efficient team. We have low staff turnover and a caring, supportive work culture. Training will be given, and the role could also be expanded for an applicant keen on more scope and responsibility.
