Another two rows of dahlia‘s dug this morning, thank you so much to Charlene for coming to help last minute. I did a last-minute dash before the rain came down, and we finished just out as it really started to pour. So many big clumps and the cuttings coming up are looking fab too!

Today Kara and Donna came out to help dig a row of tubers this morning. Some of the clumps in this row were massive – Who Me and Wittem make huge ones. Rocco is always productive and Strawberry Cream did okay this year too even though on the smaller side as usual.

Very grateful to have had my friend Renae out today to help start digging dahlias. We got two rows out – all the Caitlin’s Joy, Snoho Jojo, Pink Runner and most of the Salmon Runner. Some clumps were small, but most were massive. Check out how huge the tubers were on some of them – and Snoho made the fattest largest tubers of the day. Although Pink Runner had the longest! Dahlias are so funny, gotta love them 😆

Unbelievably here in Napier, we still haven’t had a hard frost. Some are still flowering which is wild. I may have to start digging up dahlias without a frost, which has never happened to me before. I’ll keep you posted!

Got the rest of the strawflowers done tonight, and got through most of the statice, but still have peachy pinks and apricots to do tomorrow. There’s way more work than you think to process and sort bulk dried flowers! But it’s also very satisfying 🤍🌸😊

For those waiting on dried flower inventory, we are working hard on finishing that today and tomorrow. Today we finished celosia, billy buttons and 1/2 of the strawflowers, and tomorrow we should finish those along with all the statice and a small amount of dried eucalyptus. I’ll have full inventory by Thursday evening/Friday morning and will start processing your orders 🌸🤍 thanks for being patient – I didn’t realise how many flowers I had 😆
