If you're looking for help with a one-off project or some weekly, fortnightly, or monthly maintenance; then please get in contact with us. General maintenance can include: lawn mow, line strimmer, hedge trim, weeding, pressure wash, lawn edging, bark/mulch application, composting, and much more. We aren't the type to 'spray and walk away' as we do not use chemical pesticides/insecticides/herbicides. Our goal is to help our clients to better utilise their outdoor space and to grow their own fruits and vegetables. Whether it's to save money, eat healthily, or enjoy the outdoors; we can help you to get started and are available to support you year-round. Grow your own start up can include: raised beds, compost bin, bug hotels, staking supports, mulch, organic fertiliser and much more. We can help you to visualise your dream garden, design and plan how it will look, and create your own food garden. We would be happy to visit your property to discuss how we can manage, improve, and help you to enjoy your garden.

Horopito and Winter Roses brightening up this part shade garden.

Winter roses (Hellebores)
- we love them because their glossy foliage and soft flowers provide colour and texture year round
- ideal for under planting beneath trees and softening pathways or shaded borders
- Low maintenance

Horopito (pseudowintera coloratura ‘winter fire’)
- a low maintenance native - drought tolerant, wind hardy and happy in sun or part shade
- Provides year round colour
- Perfect for mixed plantings, adding warmth and contrast

“Tim met with my wife and I to discuss what could be done. It was quickly apparent that Tim is a very knowledgeable, easy to deal with and pleasant person. After some mucking about from my end, and much patience and understanding from Tim, his hard working crew set about making a spectacular job of the work to be done. Many approving comments from the locals. We could not be happier with the finished works, so much so that we are getting Tim’s Garden to do some more landscaping work knowing it will be well considered and well executed. I thoroughly recommend them for any work big, small and in between”

Thanks for your review, Andrew, and for choosing to work with Tim’s Garden.

A real bitter sweet moment with our last compost workshop at Gloucester Street.

We had 30 people this evening! To think this was just an idea we discussed with over 5 years ago and we’ve had hundreds of people through the door learning, sharing and enjoying these life skills.

It’s been an evolving presentation and process to find what people need, what they are curious about and how best to help them.

We will be moving to Saxton Road in a few weeks but this evening’s compost workshop was such a great reminder of how important events like this are, how small businesses are helping the community, and that people want to make a difference. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future.

Thanks to the staff over the years who have helped facilitate these events and of course , .bushell. Huge thanks to Karen Lee & the Rethink Waste Programme at NCC for sponsoring these events and making this possible and accessible for so many people.

Thank you,
Tim
