Agathe Porlier joined our team a few months ago, bringing a calm, thoughtful energy to the studio. A registered architect (France), she brings both technical depth and a refined design touch.
Based on the Kāpiti Coast, she works remotely with our Nelson team and brings over a decade of experience in Passive House, low-energy design and Homestar.

Weā€™re so happy to have her on board, her care for low impact architecture, thorough documentation, iterative design and excellent technical skills, along with her sensitivity to people and place, align so well with Finelineā€™s values and work ethos.
Weā€™re also looking forward to connecting with clients and collaborators in the lower North Island as the practice continues to grow.

The process of making earth plasters is as physically demanding as it is rewarding. A reminder that good things take time. A work of patience.

Each day reveals something new as the clay layers dry and shift, preparing for the next coat.
It is slow, tactile, grounding and simply beautiful.
