A new and exciting adventure awaits!
After 12 full on years (Especially the last 8) delivering community support on behalf of Mitre 10 MEGA Nelson to all corners of the district, it's time to live up to the old saying, "Charity begins at home!"
Tahunanui has been home for Wendy, Sophie, Jack and I since 1990.
We work, live and relax in Tahunanui- kids went to Tahunanui kindy, and we have a huge number of friends and contacts right throughout the area.
Tahunanui is Nelson cities jewel in the crown. So many wonderful spaces to enjoy - including a world class beach and holiday park, and heaps of locations and opportunities for family friendly activities, and we really need to enhance and promote these.
It is an area that also has significant challenges, which I am really keen to talk with residents about, and work on strategies to lessen the impact of, and if possible, eliminate.
My last day at the MEGA is Christmas Eve, and my first day at the Hub will be the 20th of January.
It has been an absolute privilege to work for one of Nelson's iconic, long standing family businesses, and to help facilitate thier generous donations to our community.
A huge thank you to the owners, the Field family - Brandon, our CEO, the Board, and the whole team at Mitre 10 MEGA Nelson for thier support over the last 12 years.
But the most thanks, goes to YOU. Our awesome, generous and enthusiastic Trade, Business, Education and general community, who have jumped in behind my Helping Hands programme, and helped make it a huge success, rolled out now, nationwide, by Mitre 10 NZ.
We have changed lives, saved lives and made our home a very special place to live.
I will continue to undertake community projects through my Build4Good Charitable Trust - and you'll be able to find me at Tahunanui Community Hub, in Muritai Street from the 20th of January!
Have a Fantastic Christmas and Happy and Prosperous New Year!!
