A new Australian home designed for Queensland — inspired not by trends, but by Country.

My approach is always to begin with place. The climate. The landscape. The history. The way people live.

For this home, I explored the timeless qualities that make Australian architecture unique: the shelter of the Queenslander verandah, the honesty of the rural shed, the craftsmanship of Federation homes, and a deep connection to nature.

Natural stone, timber, corrugated steel and generous outdoor living spaces combine to create a home that feels both contemporary and enduring. A place shaped by light, breezes, gardens and the Australian landscape beyond.

I believe the best homes don't sit on the land — they belong to it.

The tree that keeps on giving
Japanese maples come in every shape and size imaginable—from tall and upright to cascading and sculptural. Their foliage changes with the seasons, offering layers of beauty: fresh greens in spring, cool textures in summer, and a spectacular autumn show.

They’re perfect for small sections—deciduous trees like these let the winter light flood in, and offer shade right when you need it in summer.
Timeless, textural, and always surprising—these are trees that earn their place.

Good design should feel effortless — but it comes from patience, observation, and respect for place.

One of the things I enjoy most about creating gardens and homes is watching spaces evolve over time and become part of people’s everyday rituals and memories.

Timelessness will always matter more to me than trends.

A platform that brings together a considered global voice in contemporary design.

This home was about creating a sense of balance…
spaces that can feel calm and relaxed day to day, but also hold a bit of occasion when needed.

We spent a lot of time thinking about how people actually live —
how a home can shift between moments… from slow Sundays to evenings with friends.

It’s always a privilege to see this work captured and understood so thoughtfully on a global stage.
