Watson Street, Strandon project:
Recently shot back to a project from last year to grab some photos of one of our favourite homes in recent times.
Designed by KR Architecture, Kyle was given a free rein to come up with a design to fit the Strandon location and take advantage of the sea views from the 2nd level. The exterior cladding combination of Nuwall aluminium cladding, custom coloursteel flashings, cedar soffits and Cerano finish plaster over Rockcote Intergra panel providing a concrete finish.
Cedar soffits were brought through to the interior of the 2nd story void and whiskey lounge. Likewise with the cerano plaster being brought through from entry and up the stairwell.
Glass ballastrades border the void and stairwell on the interior and the 2nd level deck.
The kitchen and dining is centre point of home. Having the void to upstairs allows the sun to pour through when the sun is at lower levels heating the polished concrete floors which already have under floor heating in them. Reducing running costs as the floor absorbs the heat throughout the day, the underfloor heating kicks in later to maintain temperature.
The kitchen timber veneer works in well with the cedar ceilings.
We had a custom made aluminium frame with glass shelves and built in LED lighting installed above the Dekton island bench.
Fully tiled bathrooms with tapware/bathroomware supplied by Plumbline.
Bamboo decking to upper floor and ground floor decking.
Trendz outdoor fire for the outdoor entertainment just off the dining area.
Next on the agenda is a swimming pool, we are installing that in the coming months.
