We're really looking forward to this years Summer Series workshop. It was a bit last minute to pull it together but thanks to the team at Creative Northland it's going to happen again. And this time at the Whangarei Theatre Company. This is a flash back from the 2017 workshop, some of the talented Riasing Starz team joined us. And Angel 2nd from the left perfromed at all three summer series events. I'll see If i can dig out the video archives of the perfromance they did at Art Beat and the Wiapu Easter Carnival. Angel was also Pete at the Annual Puka Puka Party in Ruakaka! I distinctly remember the moment when I realised I would never go to a winter sports game ever again.

We had three little boys, one playing home (Bream Bay), one away ( Keri Keri and one at the city football grounds. What were we thinking! It was freezing wet and miserable and the kids weren't that into it. Why-why-why!?

I came to my senses and vowed never to do winter sport again. My kids enjoy individual sports and are competitive. But they've become proficient at performing arts!

Drama is a really great way to get involved with a group and learn all those important skills needed for teamwork. So if, like me, and have creative expressive kids and you're a little over winter sports then enroll for drama classes. They're once a week and it's an indoor team activity!
