Most people think they need a big greenhouse to make it worthwhile.

You don’t.

This is one of our smallest builds - 2.4 x 2.3m Old Faithful. BUt it’s set up properly so every bit of space is working:

Garden beds down low.
A solid potting bench to work off.
Two high shelves for seedlings and trays.
Nothing wasted. No dead space.

Perfect for smaller sections, tight backyards, or even just a spare corner you want to turn into something productive.

And once it’s dialled like this - it punches well above its size.

This is the kind of thing that happens when customers bring ideas to the table.

These Sanctuary-style French doors are heading out to be installed on an Old Faithful in Dunedin, and we reckon they’re going to completely change the front of it - a big entrance on the long front wall.

This might be one of my favourite little upgrades we’ve done.

Safe to say… this one’s now on the options list.

Plants grow from PAR.
Photosynthetically Active Radiation.
The usable light range from 400–700nm that drives photosynthesis.

Yes, polycarbonate cladding blocks most UV. Well 99%. This protects the polycarbonate itself. Without UV protection, it becomes brittle, yellows, and fails prematurely.

What matters is that it still let's in the usable light plants need, while reducing plant stress and creating a warmer, more stable environment.

Combined with automatic roof vents and optional summer shade, it creates optimal growing conditions year-round.

This is why greenhouses work.

These melons were started in the greenhouse house early spring, then grown on outside once conditions were right, here in Hawkes Bay.

That early protection and head start makes a big difference in NZ - especially with heat loving crops.

And it gives you the ability to choose Heirloom varities that may not be available as seedlings.. and you can easily save your seeds for next year's planting 👌

It's not above growing everything undercover.
It's about giving your plants the best possible start.
And we are loving the result! Ultra tasty almost free melons!

Amid chaos… tools everywhere… Nick in the middle of it like a man on a mission 😅

Then suddenly it’s all done, beds in, benches sorted, everything in its place.. time for us to go home!

And then before you know it… we receive updates from our awesome clients and its full jungle mode in there!

This is why we love building these spaces. They go from “worksite” to “sanctuary” so fast.

Most greenhouse problems don’t show up straight away.

They appear after a few seasons of wind, heat, movement, and use — when materials and fixings are properly tested.

That’s why good greenhouse design starts with structure, not looks.

Longevity isn’t loud.
It proves itself over time.
