Good to see Mike and his rocketship starting to take flight!
I offered some labour to help wire the car up, and the whole car is a really impressive piece of kit!!
Opening Night at Palmy 🏁
Headed to Palmerston North for the first Saloon meeting of the season - 2 heats and a feature on the program.
Pulled grid 11 for Heat 1. Nothing too exciting there, finished up 9th and picked up our first bit of damage on the new car 😭 after coming into contact with a spun car.
Heat 2 was a different story! Off grid 2 and got an awesome start. A few tweaks needed in the cockpit, but managed to hold strong until I got passed by Ash (242p) then managed to take the spot back after a spun car caused a restart. The restart went our way and we hung on to take the win! 🙌

That put us off grid 4 for the feature. Track was still a bit greasy on the outside, dropped back to 7th early on but fought back to 5th. Closed the gap on the lead pack but decided not to risk the biscuit with a big South Island trip coming up and limited time to work on the car.
This thing is unreal - every race we’re unlocking more from it.
