It is unfortunate that these are needed in this day and age but unfortunately, they are. After having someone try and ruin my business on Facebook a month or so ago I have had to draw these up to protect my business.

Service Commitment
Top Notch Mowing and Property Services will make every effort to complete your lawn on the same day and at the same time each cycle. However, in the event of weather disruptions, illness, annual leave, or equipment breakdowns, there may be delays. If these issues affect your scheduled service, you will be informed and a new date will be arranged. If your lawn becomes longer than usual (e.g., during spring), the service will be completed at the usual rate. Future services will resume on your regular scheduled day.
Top Notch Mowing and Property Services offer a 15% discount for any lead that becomes a regular service via any regular clients refferal
Unless otherwise agreed, for the purposes of clarity a "lawn mow" consists of;
1, w**deating around all lawn edges as needed. (does not include gardens)
2, lawn mown with a catcher
3, clipping removal
4, paths and driveways cleared of any remaining clippings with the blower.
Quotes
Top Notch Mowing and Property Services offfer one free quote per property. Regular lawn services will be completed at the frequency specified in your quote. The reduced growth during winter helps maintain pricing through the spring, when lawns become more labor-intensive due to increased growth. If there has been no noticeable growth since the previous service, Top Notch Mowing and Property Services may, at their discretion, leave the lawn until your next scheduled service.
Quoted prices are valid for a period of 2 weeks from the date provided for lawn mowing and 4 weeks from the date provided for any other jobs.
Quoted prices and any price increases remain confidential between each client/potential client and Top Notch Mowing and Property Services. Failure to observe this will result in a $300.00 penalty or legal action being taken.
Price Increases
Pricing reviews are conducted each winter. Your initial price is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the start of services. Price adjustments may occur due to inflation or increased business costs.
Prices for w**d spray may change without notice and vary depending on the type of spray required.
Payment Terms
Payments for services should be made via internet banking (preferred) or cash. Cash payments must be made on the same day upon completion of work. Internet payments are due within 7 days of the invoice date. A late payment fee of $25 will apply to any outstanding balance after 15 days from the invoice date. In the case of a regular client, the lawn will not be mown again until payment is recieved. This may incur extra fees depending on lawn length.
One off services for non regular, one off clients are always cash on completion and must be paid on the day upon completion of the service.
Any payments still outstanding after 60 days will either go to a debt collection agency, small claims court, or lawn clippings to the value of the overdue amount will be delivered back to your property.
If the debt goes to a collection agency, or small claims court, the client will be responsible for paying all related fees.
Obstacles
Top Notch Mowing and Property Services will not move or collect clothes pegs, fruit, or excessive amounts of children’s toys. Please ensure that clothes pegs are placed in a suitable container, or at least moved off the lawn, and that fruit is cleared when possible. As we will simply mow over it.
Children’s toys (other than balls) must be removed before service, if toys are not removed $10 fee (incl GST) will be added to your regular mow fees to cover time spent having to tidy up.
We will only move trampolines or swing sets if they are not secured to the ground (i.e., not weighted down with bricks, blocks, or sandbags and not pegged down). Trampolines will be moved once per mow onto an already-mown area.
Dog Droppings
Top Notch Mowing and Property Services will not simply mow over dog droppings, as it poses a health hazard to our staff and your pets. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the lawn is clear of droppings. Mowing over dog droppings may spread harmful diseases like worms or Parvovirus to other clients' properties.
If dog droppings are present, Top Notch Mowing and Property Services will collect them at a cost of $5.75 (including GST) per dropping for a small amount (3-4 droppings). If the lawn is excessively covered in dog droppings, the service will be missed, and you will incur a $20 reschedule fee.
If you would like us to provide dog waste collection as a regular service, please let us know. Rates do vary, depending on the number of dogs and time required.
Access to Property
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure clear access to all parts of the lawn. Top Notch Mowing and Property Services will not lift mowers over cars, fences, or other obstacles. If access requires a key or code, please provide it prior to your first service.
If part of your lawn is inaccessible due to obstacles, we reserve the right to trim that area with a line trimmer.
Cancellation of Regular Services
Cancellation of services must be made in writing via text, messenger, or email and received with at least 14 days notice. Late cancellations will be charged the full price of one mow.
Cancellations within 4 services of accepting a quote, or prior to any additional service requested, after accepting a quote, will incur a $30 charge to cover labor, time spent, and administrative fees.
Client details
Clients names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses will remain confidential at all times between Top Notch Mowing and Property Services and the client. Any details will be used for the purposes of conducting business only.
