Last week's Phoenix palm tree tidy. A tricky job over a house with lots of windows and a patio. A few birds and some rats will have to find a new home.

A huge congratulations to Steph Dryfhout, who tonight has been named New Zealand Rural Sportwomen of the Year at the 2026 New Zealand Rural Sports Awards in Palmerston North — for the second year in a row.

Steph continues to redefine what’s possible in competitive tree climbing, following an extraordinary year that included winning the 2025 Women’s World Championship at the International Tree Climbing Championship in Christchurch, along with titles across New Zealand, Australia and Europe.

An incredible achievement and a proud moment for arboriculture in Aotearoa. Congratulations Steph! 🌿💚

The recent tree removal project at Opiki School prioritized public safety above all. Our team demonstrated expertise in removing the trees while protecting the entrance from damage.

Trees on houses and cars, the weather for the last few days has been wild. We had lots of call outs. Hopefully everyone is safe now.
