Hello my plant friends! Happy 2024!

It’s a new year, a new moon and I am launching a new business called Soulma Collective which you can find over on .ann.ferguson

2023 was an introspective year for me which taught me some major life lessons. As I went deeper inward I discovered my soul aligned purpose which is helping female entrepreneurs create embodied success. I have immensely enjoyed growing plants and educating others on how to care for them, however the retail side of business has not been as aligned for me. My new business is quite different but still deeply rooted in my connection with the plant kingdom. I will also still continue The Houseplant Wife and will slowly be turning it into more education and less retail.

I went very quiet last year because I was hard at work getting certified as a somatic practitioner and transformation coach. This year I am getting certified as a flower essence therapist and qi gong instructor.

My own personal struggles in life and business caused me extreme burnout which is what lead me to somatic therapy. My therapist was a somatic practitioner and the transformation I have had since doing somatic work inspired me to help others experience what I have experienced. The reason I want to help female entrepreneurs is because I know the struggle and I know the way out of it. It is 100 percent possible to create the life of your dreams and feel balanced and at ease in the process. This work begins with limiting beliefs.

It’s a bit chilly out these days. We hope you and your plants are keeping warm.

Keep your plant babies thriving through winter with these 6 tips:

🌿 Cut back on watering
🌿 Continue fertilising but decrease the amount or frequency
🌿 Protect them from cold temperatures/drafts, heat from fires/heaters
🌿 Watch/treat for pests, especially fungus gnats
🌿 Keep leaves clean in order to absorb as much light as possible
🌿 Don’t stress about slow growth or leaves dropping, come spring they will start to flourish again!
