The entertainment unit.

Built to turn a house into a home. Same lovely Monaco blue faces as the kitchen, so both spaces join together and feel like one considered design rather than two separate rooms.

Room for the TV, the stereo and the record player, all built in, plus open shelving for the books and objects that give a space warmth and personality.

And it wraps straight around into a corner window seat, well balanced and made for lazy afternoons.

Wall cabinets, done differently.

A lot of people struggle with wall cabinets, deep, dark boxes where everything at the back gets forgotten. We flipped that with open shelving instead, so everything can actually be reached easily.

Sitting at 700mm above the bench, it’s set at the perfect height, with a deep niche cabinet tucked in beside the rangehood for anything that needs to stay out of sight.

It’s become one of our favourite parts of the kitchen, and we love it.

The corner cabinet.

Corner cabinets are notoriously tricky. Awkward doors, wasted space, dishes you can never quite reach. But Alex and Moira’s is completely open, no door at all.

It’s home to their large plates and serving bowls, everything within easy reach and open enough to look beautiful on display.

Sometimes the smartest solution is the simplest one.

Pantry + oven tower.

What’s unusual here is that instead of a full walk-in pantry, they went with a huge amount of drawer storage next to the oven tower, still giving them plenty of space while freeing up the floor plan.

The oven tower itself doubles as display space too, cookbooks and crockery sit right above the ovens on open shelving.

One detail people miss with oven towers is ventilation. We’ve built it into the toe kick below, so the appliances can breathe properly without interrupting the clean lines of the joinery.

Storage that works as hard as it looks good.
