Richard Janutka (B.Sc Biology/Chemistry), former Marlborough Boys College Mathematics teacher, has practiced urban permaculture for over 20 years between Japan and New Zealand. He extensively studied the "no work" method of organic farming in Japan, under the teachings of Masanobu Fukuoka. His food growing systems are a mixture of Japanese, Cuban and Indian organic and permaculture systems.

Great News from Urban Food Pros

We will be hosting a WORKSHOP in Marlborough at a lifestyle section in Koromiko.

You will get a chance to learn about turning a fallow field into a veggie garden that cranks!

Learn:
- row building
- how to start from scratch
- best tilling practice
- permaculture options for our site
- water composting and garden feeding
- companion planting
- irrigation set-ups

This site will also become a community garden with a chance for you to have your own garden plot to maintain and tend to.
