In Italy, they have this word that I LOVE... it’s Scarpetta.
Described to us by a classic, full-of-life Italian chef in Rome, Scarpetta is the indescribable pleasure of soaking up every last bit of sauce on your plate 🥰. It goes far beyond your regular adjective, and speaks to the essence of the actual feeling that comes from the action. It was such an incredibly relatable concept as we ate our way through Italian cities.

Now, back here in NZ and taking in this gorgeous build in Jacks Point that we finished earlier this year, I only wish there were a word that could do the same justice to the joy I get from soaking up an interior like this. A word that captures that feeling as perfectly as Scarpetta captures the joy of mopping up the very best Italian sauce…. 🥰 Perhaps you have one? 🤔

This Amazonico benchtop from .anz is to die for- the way it brings the mountainside colours in to the interiors is my favourite thing about this space - the fact it’s an incredible product is of course also a major flex 🥂
