What a Crazy 24 hours (& lifetime really)
A bit of a long update
But
Hopefully it makes sense…
So
Brad & I are in our 4-5th year living onsite here
Walking & Living by Faith in ALL we are doing
To bring this Gorgeous Pile Of Potential here
Back to Life…
As sustainably & organically as possible
Using Repurposed local materials
To Rebuild & Restore…
Well
Yesterday was definitely an eye opener & Brad & I can only be thankful we weren’t onsite when the neighbours barn got caught up in the wind, sheets of corrugated iron & fencing skimmed across our beautiful Escalonia hedge & a fence post went through our Mountain facing cabin window…sheets & posts continued through to smash Brads work vehicle front windscreen & back left window
Then wrapping themselves around one corner of container then finally settling down in between our front Shelter-belt young trees
Brad & I are taking it all in step by step…
You see…
We had already pre planned to head out “no matter the weather” for our Date Night…
& while we were gone
(Thank you Jesus)
The fence post that went through the cabin window, landed right where I’d be sitting to eat, sleep, draw, pray & praise…
Shards of glass on my pillow
& enough glass throughout the bedding
It had to be stripped…
I was (& still am) in shock so to have our friends who look after our animals & property when we are away, came in to be our physical Saving Grace…was Wonderful…
Jess simply took over & vacuumed up as much glass as she could
While Brad & Don boarded up the cabin window…
Come daylight, some workers from neighbouring farm came to access the damage…
& were both/All a bit taken aback with the photos, videos (which I will post in comments) & it’s actually a miracle we weren’t here when everything went down…
It’s pretty obvious I havent slept well
& Brads off at work to try to get things sorted for harvesting tomorrow (Goodin Ag engineer)
So I’m popping in here to give a wee update & to say we are going to keep going here…we are not backing down from the Vision set before us…& we will keep everyone updated as we can…
