Garden update

A fantastic working bee was held at the community garden last month, with a great turnout and plenty of hard work getting done.

A special thank you to Levi, his sister, and his two nieces for really getting stuck in β€” your efforts were hugely appreciated. Big thanks as well to Illona Faasen and our neighbour Hunter Smith, who spotted us working and came over to lend a hand β€” always great to see our younger community members getting involved!

Together, we managed to fill all garden beds and plant all the fruit trees, which is an awesome milestone for the project. A big thank you to Simon at All-Tree Services for donating mulch for our new fruit trees.

The chainsaw raffle has also been drawn, with DAVID TUCKER taking out the prize β€” congratulations! A huge effort from everyone who sold and purchased tickets; your support makes a real difference.

Hi all, Does anyone have any spare waratah's or metal rods they no longer need? With the storm hitting us on Sunday - we are wanting to ensure our new fruit trees don't clow away lol. Thanx SJ (Rongotea Community Garden)
