This entrance at Foothills Homestead isn’t our usual client work — it was something we put together for ourselves using mostly recycled materials we had lying around. Old timber, bits and pieces, and a bit of time.
Could we have made something more polished or visually perfect? Absolutely. That’s what we do every day.
But honestly, this was more rewarding.
There’s something different about creating with what you’ve got — giving old materials another life and ending up with something that feels real, not just “finished.”
Not every project needs to be perfect to be worth it.

Experienced Landscaper Position available

We are looking for an applicant that has had previous experience in either the building or landscaping trades.

At Createscape we are a small family business looking to grow. We are based in Sefton and work throughout the North Canterbury region very rarely crossing the Waimak bridge. We pride ourselves on the high standard of work we produce and are looking for someone with the same eye for detail.

The job will include, but is not limited to; concreting and paving, installation of garden edging, new lawn preparation and irrigation installations, building of decks, pergolas, retaining walls and some machinery work (Small digger/Vermeer skidsteer).

Applicants to have…
- Basic Building experience and knowledge
- Clean full drivers’ licence, W.T.R an advantage
- Passion for the outdoors and able to spend a whole day in the summer sun
- Ability to follow instructions and learn
- Needs to be able to work on site independently
- Great communication skills
- An eye for detail and finishing
- Understanding of the importance of levels and contours
