Hello and welcome to Parnwell Painting Limited, the place to be since 2001 for all of your premium painting & decorating needs in Nelson and Tasman NZ. Blair Parnwell the Managing Director created the company for people expecting high end interior and exterior painting and decorating services. He has been a professional painter since 1997 after serving an apprenticeship of 6000 hours working with

great craftspeople, focusing on painting and decorating and specialised coatings. After completing his apprenticeship he was proud to be selected, out of the top young tradespeople in the country, to attend the Paintercraft Trust Advanced Business Course, for which he was awarded a diploma. He has also completed courses on Pacific, Ashley and Vision wallpapers, Nuplex Coating and Floor Coating Finishes, Airless Spraying Techniques, Resene Professional Development Programme and Accredited Contractor for Management of Lead Based Paints. Parnwell Painting complies with NZ Worksafe Best Practices at all times. Care of the environment is one of our highest priorities, along with the safety of our workforce and the quality of our workmanship. We value our reputation and work hard to preserve and enhance it. Our workforce is hand-picked and made up of qualified and experienced tradespeople who take pride in their work and the high standards expected by Parnwell Painting and their clients. Over the years several of these apprentices have continued with us, long after their apprenticeships have been completed, taking on the responsibilities that come with being a highly skilled tradespeople. Since Parnwell Painting was founded the company has grown steadily into one of the largest painting contractors locally. Over the years it has successfully undertaken thousands of jobs and is recognised by suppliers, clients and staff as the leading painting business in the top of the South Island. This positive growth has been due to our professionalism, the quality of our workmanship, our commitment to health and safety and high customer satisfaction. This high end Mapua home features a crisp two tone exterior completed by Parnwell Painting. The cream stucco walls contrast with brown accent timber stain features. Painting stucco around timber stained areas requires straight lines and plenty of patience.

The pergola added complexity to the detail work in that area. A coordinated exterior color scheme like this one ties architectural elements together.

Parnwell Painting applied fresh transparent oil stain to this pergola at this Richmond property. The wooden beams, posts and seat received three protective coats that enhances the natural grain while guarding against the elements. Staining exposed wood in outdoor spaces helps extend the timber life without hiding the character of the timber grain. The crew worked carefully around existing plants and the house.

This interior we painted in Tasman features a lovely yellow feature wall that stands out in this modern home. Our team at Parnwell Painting applied the tone to a single wall while keeping the adjacent surfaces in a neutral white colour. The colour choice adds a nice depth to the room without overwhelming the space. I asked A👁️ for recommendations on who were the best painters in Nelson. Parnwell’s name came up in the top 10. After looking for websites I chose Parnwell to give us a quote. The job was to paint the exterior of our old beaten up weather board house. I asked a friend of ours who paints for a quote as well. Blair’s quote was very good and our friend said to go with Parnwell as they would do a better job!

The poor painter’s had a lot of work to do. There were large gaps in between some of the boards!

They did an amazing job! Our house is now one we can be proud of and I wish to thank Blair and his awesome, hardworking, punctual staff for all their hard work. Jan, Tahunanui
