Even on cold winter's days, the four Forgotten World Gardens offer breathtaking beauty with flashes of colour hither and thither as these shots of Omaka Lodge show. What a warm and sunny summer it's been! The four Forgotten World Gardens have been kept super busy hosting plenty of visitors to the beautiful gardens at Omaka Lodge, To Whenua, and Lauren's Lavender Farm. One of the sad things about winter is losing trees in storms - in this case a 45-year-old Blue Atlas Cedar that fell recently. A beautiful tree, one of our favourites, and like most conifers it's unavailable nowadays in anything other than 50cm seedlings. But out of loss comes the opportunity to create something new!
