What a warm and sunny summer it's been! The four Forgotten World Gardens have been kept super busy hosting plenty of visitors to the beautiful gardens at Omaka Lodge, To Whenua, and Lauren's Lavender Farm. One of the visitors was the Waikato Times, who wrote this lovely article on us and many other great things to do in the Ruapehu District!

Winter for the four Forgotten World Gardens brings challenges, but is a great time to refresh, renew and reinvigorate not only our gardens but ourselves! The gardens at Omaka Lodge, To Whenua and Lauren's Lavender Farm will be looking fab by spring, so why not start planning your trip today!🌲🌳💐

One of the sad things about winter is losing trees in storms - in this case a 45-year-old Blue Atlas Cedar that fell recently. A beautiful tree, one of our favourites, and like most conifers it's unavailable nowadays in anything other than 50cm seedlings. But out of loss comes the opportunity to create something new!
