Let’s give a massive round of applause to the winner of our June Belco Boost – Blake Tie!!!

We are very proud to back 10-year-old Blake as he heads to Brisbane this July to compete in the BMX World Championships.

Blake has been on a bike since he was just three years old. While injuries and illness have thrown some tough challenges his way over the years, his determination and focus has not wavered. We're pleased to hear that all his hard work has officially paid off with a well-deserved spot representing New Zealand at the World Champs.

We wish Blake the absolute best of luck in Brisbane!

Nine years later, and the design remains as classic as the day it was finished.

This home was built to balance the needs of a growing family of four, offering the space and freedom that only a semi-rural lifestyle can provide. It’s a place designed for both quiet family moments and the company of visiting friends and family.

The architecture draws from its surroundings through the use of rough-sawn redwood decking, bandsawn board and batten, and painted stepped brick—creating a play of shadow and texture that feels right at home in the country.

Loving the progress on our Oropi project.

On the outside, the classic brick is getting a refresh with a clean white paint finish, completely modernising the exterior. Inside, the gib is up and the plastering is officially underway.

Designing a home isn’t just about the structure; it’s about creating the perfect backdrop for the pieces you love. By planning for specific furniture early in the design phase—incorporating a recessed nook for a sideboard or a strategic window to spotlight a reading chair—you can ensure these pieces have the space they need to shine. 💡💡💡

If you are currently in the planning stages, make a list of your 'feature' furniture or art pieces. Note down their dimensions and consider where they would best be featured.
