We were thrilled to visit our latest high-performance build today to see the progress on site — a modern space with historical roots. This project blends optimal performance with century-old craftsmanship, thanks to the incorporation of recycled trusses over 100 years old, originally part of a grain storage warehouse.
These heritage trusses bring more than vintage character — they carry stories of industry, movement, and transformation. Now, reimagined for a new era, they serve as the focal point of a space designed for efficiency, durability, and low environmental impact.

Last week the team attended the opening ceremony for the Breckon Farms Stables and Function Room project.
We are so grateful to Ken and Karen for inviting us to be part of this project - the first in their harness racing industry in decades.
It has been a pleasure working with them both to create this legacy, alongside Construction Advantage Ltd, who expertly managed the build, and NZ Equine Solutions, with their stunning product completing the stable fitout.

Under the clear Waikato skies, our latest project—a state-of-the-art stable block and function centre—nears completion, blending functionality and beauty in one stunning location. Excited to see the final construction phase come together!

You might have recognised one of our projects featured on Seven Sharp last week, with an inspirational story of one of the contractors part of the team at the Breckon Farms Stables and Function Room project.
So good to hear of these apprentice opportunities being made available by the likes of Cantec Services Hamilton and Construction Advantage.

Makuch Roofing entry into the Residential Roof of the Year!
The build blends Brutalist-inspired design with a focus on innovative roofing practices and masterfully executed cladding. The bold roofline twists from 25 to 3 degrees, demanding precision, while custom flashings create a seamless finish.
This project highlights the power of combining design vision with technical roofing expertise, and it has been a pleasure to have been part of the team!

Incredible! Even in the 1830’s, the Treaty House framework was pre-assembled in Sydney and shipped to NZ. The image shows how the framing was marked up with Roman numerals for ease of assembly.
