Update from Gisler Architects

Hey Guys,
Well, 2021 is just about complete, and what a year it's been. At Gisler Architects we have carried on delivering client project all over the central area of New Zealand. We have had Covid disruption on various sites but thankfully great contractors we have worked with have minimized the impact.

We close up on 23rd of December and will have the office opening on 10th of January 2022.

Also, changes here - Gisler Architects are relocating offices, not far, but as the landlord has completed the seismic upgrade of this beautiful old building we are moving back upstairs for the first time in 21 years. This relocation will happen Monday 13 December 2021 so we may be hard to get hold of that morning. We should be back up and running that afternoon.

We hope you all have a great Christmas and festive season and we look forward to seeing you in 2022.

Image on Left: Tim & Ngaire Gisler on their wedding day 14 March 2020 a few days before New Zealand went into Lockdown Alert Level 4. Finally on 3 May 2021 a wee while after NZ had established a travel bubble with Australia, they were able to head off via Melbourne to their favourite space, bach, in the world. Image on Right: A good few days of sun, relaxation, fireplaces and penguins, they're on their way home.

In our Going through the History Books Campaign!

The Year: 2009.

The Brief: Develop a cheese-making manufacturing site where the cheese-making process could be observed and taught.

The Owner: Sue Arthur’s dream was to excite the cheese-tasting public with speciality cheeses and other dairy products. Since then, Over the Moon has notched up over 150 medals and trophies at national and world championships.

The Building: Sue purchased a retail site which previously housed a real estate agents office with a dentistry and lawyer upstairs.

The Background: Over the Moon manufactures cheese and runs the New Zealand Cheese School (professional and DIY courses) on this site, has 2 retail stores (Putaruru and Cambridge) and 2 online stores. Cheese is sent to a couple of hundred other deli stores and restaurants all over New Zealand, and we currently hand make about 30 tons of cheese a year. The New Zealand Cheese School trains professionals and keen home cheesemakers from NZ and round the world, unique in New Zealand and operates from the factory.
