🌳A winning start to the year for our crew!🌳

On Saturday, Taneora, Jason, and Isaac competed in the NZARB - New Zealand Arboricultural Association Inc. Regional Tree Climbing Competition at The University of Waikato — and it turned into our most successful competition to date.

👏 Taneora placed an impressive 3rd overall, including:
🥈Second place in the Speed Climb
🥇 First place in the Work Climb

This result means Taneora has qualified for the national competition in Rotorua later this year — an awesome achievement and a great way to kick off the year.

Huge effort from the team and a fantastic start to 2026! 💪🌳

We have another wildcard!

Our Team Leader, Jase, has received the call-up to join Taneora at the National Tree Climbing Championship 2025!


This will be Jase’s first time competing in this event, having previously taken home New Arborist of the Year in 2023 and qualifying for the Young Horticulturalist of the Year.

The event will be held on Saturday, 20 September, in Hunua.

We have exciting news to share! Our Liaison Arborist, Taneora, has been accepted as a wildcard entry for this year’s National Tree Climbing Championship!

The competition pits New Zealand’s best against one another, battling it out for New Zealand’s top titles in a series of tests of agility, speed and skill.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, 20 September in Hunua.

Congrats Taneora — we’re all backing you!

Looking for something to do this weekend?

Three of our team members, Taneora, Jase, and Ethan, will be competing in the 2025 NZ Arb Husqvarna Waikato Bay of Plenty Tree Climbing Competition at Hamilton Lake Domain this Saturday, 5 April.

While Taneora and Jase are returning competitors, this will be Ethan’s first competition. Good luck, team!

Taneora Martin, our liaison arborist is set to compete in a new competition at the Kumeu Show, Canopy Carnage on 8th and 9th March 2025.

This new event will include a freestyle tree climb, where a climber will start the event at the top of the tree, with the aim being to get to the ground and hit a buzzer as fast as possible whilst visiting various stations in the tree on the way down.

The second event will be an ascent, where the climber will race up a single rope to a pre-determined height, this event is run with two competitors side by side, and the fastest time wins!
