Work in the West Watson Block at Craighead Diocesan School has moved to the exterior to start forming the new Portico Entry.

A pre‑manufacture meeting was held on the 8th May with the contractor and manufacturer. All the frames were reviewed in detail before fabrication begun. A bit of planning now minimizes the need to reform frames on‑site.

The first frames are due on site later this week.

The last of the new timber partition framing for the renovation of the Administration area in the West Watson Block at Craighead Diocesan School are being fitted

Back-of-wall services such as power, data, air-handling and plumbing are currently being installed in readiness for internal linings.

The design brief for this renovation was to open-up the living and kitchen spaces to the sun and maximize the views to the Lake and the Remarkable Range.

With the work on the roof windows well underway the views to the Remarkables are being realised.

The renovation of the Administration area in the West Watson Block at Craighead Diocesan School is nearly ready for internal linings.

Structural steel bracing frames, beams and posts have beam fabricated and installed along with new timber partition framing.

Back-of-wall services such as power, data, air-handling and plumbing are currently being installed.

Construction work at Timaru South School moves to the refurbishment of the Reception and Accessible facilities.

Interior demolition and new partition framing is complete and work on the entry canopy will soon commence.
