Moring all,
Don't worry lance they will come.
Well after 30 years of answering questions from customer's and helping them understand the complexities of gardening I had someone ask to buy PH.
You can't buy a product called PH the letters stand for potential of hydrogen it's a measurement that indicates how acidic or alkaline is in the soil.
the PH scale runs between 0 to 14.
Neutral is PH of 7
Acidic is below 7.
Alkaline is above 7.
If your soil is too Acidic plants have trouble taking up nutrient's they need, the same applies if it too high.
Plants have different nutrient need.
You can change your soil by adding either an acid fertilizer like you use for azaleas and camellias or an alkaline fertilizer like you use for roses.
You can buy gauges that show what your PH is plus show the moisture content as well. They are not that dear on sites like Temu at a good price.

Morning all,
Well, I have made it.
Today is 30 years since I opened.
I have been through 2 floods 4 operation the 5th coming up on the 8 of June.
I have landscaped around this area and up to Taupo, Napier and as far north as Wairoa for over 40 plus years.
Anyone who shops with us this week will go in the draw for one meter of garden mix.
all you have to do is put your name and phone number on the paper by the purple bag and drop it in the bag.
We will draw it Tuesday morning and ring the winner and post it on face book.
Thanks to all the customs over the years that have supported me.

morning all,
Well, the 19th of May, it will be 30 years since I started total gardening but 45 years landscaping in central Hawkes bay and around the area.
I would like to thank all of my loyal customers how have stayed with me all these years
It makes you feel old when the children of some of your yearly customers have grown up had children of their own and are setting up their first home.
I have been very lucky that I have lance to hold the fort when I am on the road picking up fresh stock, so my product is always fresh.
I have my date for my knee operation it is the 8th of June
So, from the 8th of June to the end of July, we will be closing at 3pm Tuesday to Saturday and at 12 o'clock Sundays.
Lance will be here holding everything together.
Over this time our fruit tree should come in they will be $45.00 bare rooted and when we bag them up, they will be $55.00.
Good gardening,
Jenny.

This was taken in 2019, and he still love to hide and get you every time you try to w**d.
With the winter months heading our way it's time to get the autumn / winter plants in the garden while the soil is still warm for them to grow.
I have the start of my winter vege plants in store as well as some winter annuls in the flower range with more to come.
The fruit tree order is due June, July. They usually go fast. The bare rooted ones will be $45.00 and when we bag them up the price will go to $55.00.
I only have coming in Apricot, Goldrich and Skaha, Nectarine, red free, and sunglo, peach, blackboy, golden queen, pear Taylor's gold There will be no holds unless paid for.
We also have a roll of heavy-duty black plastic 4meter wide great to keep the firewood dry $8.00 per meter.
Anzac is only two weeks away and the delivery are already stacking up for that week so get in fast if you are planning a job for the long weekend.

Morning all,
Well, we have had a good run with the monarch butterfly's this year
we have been keeping them inside, so the wasps won't get them.
It's great to show little kids the life cycle of the monarch.
We have sold all our swan plants now so will have to wait till next year for more plants
Apart from the large caterpillars left on the plants there are a few small one we hope will develop be for it gets too cold for them.
By tonight we should have a least four chrysalises. They hung curled up and the next time you look they are chrysalides.
A nice cool day like this is good gardening weather the w**ds come out easy and great time to start you clean up before day light saves ends.

well, what a week. Lance and I were cutting back the banksia rose and we found we were working in the flight path of a wasp nest.
We got InTouch with Kieran form Hawke's bay wasp control and he solved our problem.
Would highly recommend him for wasp and bee removal.
I must remember to close the door of the truck when I am getting ready for work or the boss moves in.
With all the rain we have been having, I pick my tomatoes when they are showing good colour but not completely red. I sit them on the window still to ripen up so the rain won't split them.
As you pull out your summer veges and annuals don't forget to feed your gardens with more garden mix, this will feed your soil and replace the goodness that your summer plants used up.
