Meet Babette 🍷✨

This stunning ball dahlia is all about richness and depth — with perfectly formed, spherical blooms in deep wine-red, burgundy, and merlot tones ❤️

Each flower reaches around 10cm wide, sitting on tall, strong stems that make it an absolute dream for cutting and arranging ✂️

Babette is known for being incredibly productive, giving you bloom after bloom from mid-summer right through to the first frost — a true workhorse in the garden 🌿

Originally bred by the Geerlings family, this variety has become a favourite among growers for its reliability, structure, and those moody, romantic tones.

✨ Growing Tips:
• Plant in full sun (at least 4–6 hours daily)
• Use well-drained, fertile soil
• Space tubers about 50cm apart and plant 5–10cm deep
• Stake taller plants for support
• Keep deadheading to encourage continuous blooms

Meet Jomanda 🤎✨

One of my absolute favourite dahlias on the farm — and it’s easy to see why.

Jomanda produces perfectly shaped, ball-style blooms with tightly packed petals that spiral so beautifully. The colour is something truly special… a rich rusty orange that leans into warm coral and soft salmon tones — giving all those earthy, coppery vibes I love 🌙🧡

Each bloom sits at around 7–10cm wide, making it the perfect medium-sized dahlia for bouquets. And the plants? Strong, tall, and incredibly productive — reaching up to 1–1.4m with long, straight dark stems that are perfect for cutting ✂️

✨ Growing Tips:
• Plant in full sun for the best blooms
• Flowers from mid-summer right through until the first frost
• Keep picking and deadheading to encourage more blooms (the more you cut, the more you get!)

Every bouquet I make at Ladyora starts the same way…

Not with rules — but with a feeling 🌸

Soft. Romantic. A little bit wild.

This is one of my favourite “flower recipes” using blooms straight from the garden.

Each stem has its own role to play.

The dahlias are the stars — bold, beautiful, and impossible to ignore.

Cosmos bring that soft, airy feeling that makes the bouquet feel light and effortless.

Gomphrena adds texture — those little pops that make you look twice.

Talinum ‘Jewels of Opar’ is one of my favourites for movement… it almost floats above the bouquet like tiny sparkles.

Amaranthus brings the drama — that cascading, flowing shape that makes everything feel a little more alive.

And then there’s basil ‘Lime Mrs Burns’… not just for greenery, but for that fresh scent that makes the bouquet feel even more special 🌿

Together, they create something that feels like it’s just been gathered from the garden.

Natural. Layered. Full of life.

That’s what a Ladyora bouquet is all about.

Not perfect.
