It has been a busy few months on the tools, while also welcoming a couple of new team members to the MG Tiling crew.

𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 👇

After 12 years with MG Tiling, Simon has officially finished up with us.

He started out as a labourer and worked his way through his full apprenticeship to become a qualified tiler. Over that time, he’s also ticked off some pretty big life goals… buying his first home and welcoming two beautiful little girls into the world.

Now he’s heading over to the Wairarapa to start his own tiling business.

We wish him all the best for this next chapter — he’ll definitely be missed around the team.

Back at it today 👷‍♂️

Good to be back on site and even better seeing these projects finished off. Always a good feeling when the last tiles go down and everything comes together properly.

That’s because we’ve been flat out bringing some epic projects to life 💪

Check out our latest job just completed working along side the team at Davma Construction Ltd, Lower Hutt.

These tiles are no joke — 3 metres × 1.2 metres each — and they make a serious statement.

The “Spider Home” in Brooklyn, Wellington, built by the talented team at Design Builders, has taken out Gold in the Master Builders House of the Year Awards for the Cook Strait region in the 𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 $𝟏 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 – $𝟏.𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲.

Perched high above the city with harbour views, this home is a true feat of design and engineering with steel foundations that make it appear to float, warm timber interiors, extensive decking and clever solar design. Stylish, sustainable and completely one of a kind.

We had the privilege of tiling the kitchen splashback, office and bathrooms in this stand-out project.

👏 Hats off to the Design Builders team and all the other tradies involved in creating something so exceptional.
