2024 has been a momentous year for MHA celebrating the 25 years in practice.

A heartfelt thanks to everyone we have worked with over the last 25 years - all the varied clients who have entrusted us with their architectural aspirations, and the consultants and contractors who have collaborated with us on numerous successful projects. And, of course, all of our dedicated staff, current and past, who have been part of the MHA team over the years.

Celebrating 25 years of McKenzie Higham Architects! Today, we celebrated this significant milestone with a morning tea baked by our very own Callum McKenzie. We began in 1999 with a staff of four, and today have a dynamic team of 28. Thank you for those who have worked with us thus far and we look forward to the future of MHA.

We invite you join us in our fundraiser for the Cancer Society with a donation of your own. Every contribution would help raise awareness, improve quality of care and equitable outcomes for kiwis affected by cancer.

As an architectural firm dedicated to education and healthcare projects, community is the centre of what we do. Some of our team are taking a step further to tautoko this cause at Wellington's Relay For Life event next weekend. With the help of our generous donors, we have raised just over $1000 so far!

Friday 10th November marked the official opening of Amesbury School's new learning studios with a red ribbon cutting ceremony by Wellington Mayor Tori Whanua, attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, school leadership, teachers, students and the wider local community.

This was Stage 2 of McKenzie Higham's involvement with the school. Construction of this phase, a new central hub building, incorporating nine learning spaces over two floors, began in 2019.
