Another big week for WireDog last week – the Huru house received a commendation (second equal) in the Habitus House of the Year Awards 2019. It was a great honour to be selected alongside such a range of extremely high quality projects from across the Indo Pacific region. A huge congratulations to Vaughn McQuarrie for his win, his project in Queenstown is truly outstanding. Many thanks to the Judges, Habitus and other sponsors.

We are extremely pleased to say that the Huru House was named the Supreme Winner in the ADNZ 2019 Design Awards last Friday night. The extremely high level of design in the entries makes this award all the more rewarding. A great team of people contributed to the success - credit goes to Matt Evans of Evans construction and Campbell Sutton and Melissa O’Keefe whose work was invaluable in realising a complex and challenging design. Having client’s willing to let us take them on the journey is fantastic, and we are reminded once again that projects like this are not possible without the collaboration of many people working towards a common goal.

Thanks to the and sponsors for putting on a fantastic conference and providing such a supportive environment for designers. We can’t wait until next year!
