Out with the old and in with the new – This kitchen renovation in Whakatāne respects the age and history of the home, bringing a fresh eat-in kitchen layout and incorporating the previously separate laundry. Contemporary appliances and a lot more bench space makes preparing meals for the family and weekend baking a breeze. Gather round the bench seating, perfect for a korero accompanied by a cheeky glass of wine.

DD2 Architectural Services is proud to assist and be a part of the creation of Te Whakarauora ō Rehua & Rehua Medical on behalf of Te Puna Ora o Mataatua Charitable Trust.

It has been a privilege to be involved in the journey from initial concepts all the way to final completed transformation. One of the most enjoyable parts of the project for DD2 has been the collaboration with Alan Hughes and Law Creative Group to produce the spectacular makeover to the entrance. What a standout to Kopeopeo’s streetscape!

Our "Smallest" project to date... The ARK Tiny House represents a return to simpler living, a potential eco-friendly solution to the existing housing industry, as well as a feasible transitional option for individuals experiencing a lack of shelter.

Our clients came with a detailed floor plan they had already spent 2 years dreaming up to maximise the 40m² of usable floor space in the design, DD2 helped turn that dream into a reality.
