We just framed this absolutely joyful little painting by local artist Chris Barry.

Those of you familiar with Whanganui will recognise the Cemetery Circuit Race. Look at those motorcycles zooming around the corner! Look at those delightful splashing of colour! How the whole painting is just oozing with light and movement ✨️

Well this piece was a treat.

I'm a passionate stitcher myself, so naturally my eyes light up when I'm asked to frame any kind of stitch work. And this is such a fine example. We work together with B for years. Her embroidery work is exquisite. I can hardly contain my enthusiasm when I see her come in with a new piece; I know she'll choose a beautiful way to off the work. Together we create these wonderful little gems.
She had a magazine page showing a framing option (the last pic). We thought we'll take a different path. 🤩

It is Saturday all day today. 😃
I was prepared a lovely piece in the morning. This little aroha sign will be framed for the shop actually.
It will have a pink on pink double mat and a very pink frame for good measure. I'm noticing a shift in my life and I think there isn't enough colour in it. So here we have it. Pink sounds like a good start to me!
