WHARE ĀKONGA — TAURAROA AREA SCHOOL

Designed as a contemporary interpretation of a traditional Whare, this project was shaped through early engagement with local hapū — helping inform a respectful and meaningful design response grounded in cultural identity and connection to place.

Delivered for the Ministry of Education, the new Whare Ākonga provides a strong and welcoming focal point for Tauraroa Area School, combining natural timber detailing, a generous Ātea, and framed views to the surrounding maunga.

Takapuna Grammar School’s new Science Block 🔬🏫

Delivered from commencement of design to building occupancy in under 8 months ⏱️ — this project showcases how smart construction methods can achieve faster, more cost-effective outcomes without compromising quality.

Working alongside Construction Management Group (CMG), the flat-pack construction approach delivered four new science classrooms, a full-length covered verandah, and improved accessibility for students and staff.

An early start this morning to attend the official opening and blessing of Onerahi Primary School’s newest addition.

Today marked the formal handover of the building to the school. As well as the schools reveal of its official name: Te Whare Hīkangia ngā Reorua.

A privilege to see this one completed — thank you to the school, the contractors, the project managers, and everyone involved in bringing this one to life.
