We are seeking a Sweeper Truck Operator, based in Auckland. Working around the network, you will be showing the city's ratepayers just what a professional, courteous and effective job we do for them in keeping the roads clean. If precision driving, a pride in your work, plenty of hours, and your own machine to care for and operate are your 'thing' then this is for you!
About the role:
As a Sweeper Truck Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining a contracted road network and keeping it clean and tidy. You will operate your own specialised equipment to a high level and maintain productivity, quality and safety.
You will also:
• Conduct cyclic catch pit cleaning
• Ensure the plant is well presented, serviced, maintained and operated in a professional, safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure plant is operated with consideration to the environment minimizing emissions of dust, gases and hydrocarbons
• Work hands-on as part of a team to achieve productivity and quality targets
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and policies
About you
Along with a positive and ‘Can do safely’ attitude, you will also:
• Hold a Full NZ Class 2 Drivers licence
• Take pride in the appearance, operation and maintenance of your plant and equipment
• Experience in the operation of specialist plant is preferred
• Be physically fit with a mechanical aptitude
